LEGENDARY BEER WORKS

As part of a packaging assignment, I was instructed to create a logo, labels, six pack, website, and brandbook for my given company: Legendary Beer Works. My concept behind this design was influence by tall-tales and legends. The style was inspired by older fairytale style drawings and books.

Primary/Heading Typeface: Regina Black | Secondary/Body Typeface: Georgia

The Logo

The logo was designed to reflect the decorative drop caps of fairy-tale books. Tall tales have normally been twisted around by each person who tells it…influencing the twisted vines/tales that wrap around the letters.

The Beers

The project required the creation of 3 distinct beer labels for the brand. The names were as given: Molly Pitcher Porter, Stormalong Stout, and Rattlesnake Lasso Lager. The 3 beers are distinguished by their fairy-tale style, hand-drawn illustration that were created after paintings. They each also have their own color to make them more distinct.

The Six Pack

I wanted to make my six-pack a little different from your average six-pack carrier. Both sides feature window cutouts to reveal the type of beer the consumer would purchase. Then blown up versions of it’s illustration book-end the sides of the pack.

While many of the components of the brand reflect this decorative, story-bookesk feel. I wanted the overall brand to be more clean and work in a modern form that reflects what a craft brewery would feel like. The website is meant to reflect just that. Most of the Legendary brand uses majority of black and white pieces, using the color to enhance their product on its own.

The Brandbook

To finalize the project, I was to create the brandbook that covered all design components of this brand, from the packaging, to stationery, to layout, graphics, and color.
